Thank God for Unanswered Prayers

When God doesn't answer prayers

What happens when God doesn't answer our prayers? Is He planning something bigger than we can imagine?

Ephesians 3:20 Now glory be to God, who by his mighty power is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of—infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.

A Hidden Message

If God promises to do infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, or anything we can imagine...

Who doesn’t want that?

Yet, what happens when life crashes? "This is not what I having been praying for," you wonder. Quite the contrary. “This is the exact opposite of what I wanted! This is the worst that could ever happen to me,” we shout as if God isn’t listening, for that matter even caring about what just happened.

But here is the hidden message:

What ever you have asked for, wanted, prayed for or desired, you are not getting. Let me say that again, You are not getting what you prayed for.

Because what God is going to do for you, you haven't the courage to ask for. It is something too undeserving, too much to receive. God is moving on your behalf, to bring you something unimaginable. And He has been behind the scenes for quite sometime.

The present set back is the exact missing piece needed to complete the tapestry.

Thank God for Unanswered Prayers

by Garth Brooks

Just the other night at a hometown football game

My wife and I ran into my old high school flame

And as I introduced them the past came back to me

And I couldn't help but think of the way things used to be

She was the one that I'd wanted for all times

And each night I'd spend prayin' that God would make her mine

And if he'd only grant me this wish I wished back then

I'd never ask for anything again

Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers

Remember when you're talkin' to the man upstairs

That just because he doesn't answer doesn't mean he don't care.

Some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers

God is weaving your miracle in unanswered prayers.
